The Flymout - Where will you stick it?

Postby Gadget » Mon Jun 07, 2010 3:41 pm

Gadget, being Gadget has a new camera mount for windsurfing.
The Flymount 8)

Here's my first impressions.
A very solid piece of kit. Weighs in at 170g in "GoPro" mode (see below).
Nice scissor clamp action. All stainless clamp hardware.
Top mount section is on a ball joint for fine tuning the angles.

Mounted the Mju. See the lanyard goes through the retaining screw and the camera strap.

Now in GoPro mode. Take the mounting bracket off and expose the standard tripod thread.

If you are going to mount your GoPro, you will need this bracket. The base accepts a standard tripod thread.
See Launch Helmet Cams for one

GoPro mounted and ready to go.

Now the question is, where will you stick it?
Flymount have given me a mount to give away.
Post your answer here.
It does not have to be windsurfing related, humorous situations or extreme angle suggestions.
Tell us a tale and Joe from Flymount will judge the winner.
Entries close August the 8th 2010.

I'll put mine on the back of slowboat's board and I will play the footage backwards so it looks like I'm overtaking him! :D
Only way it is going to happen
Or how about on the marker post at Hardie's run. Then we don't have to stand around taking pictures. Everyone can go sailing!

I've mounted cameras in a few places but with this mount I think I have the right spot to attach it when windsurfing

I'd cut a small slot in the groinal region of my wetsuit and attach it to my Willie

The beautie about this mounting system is it will handle either a GREAT session or a very cold day with nice and easy adjustment to clamp and compensate.

The lanyard attachment would quite easily go around ye old and wrinkly scrotum :o , it's ok their my wife's I don't own them anymore

The good thing about the Willie mount is dependent on how good the session will govern the camera angle delivered

So next time I point my crotch at you smile you may be on Muppetcam

Casino, I got this one from the UK.
I've sent the details to the Launch guys, have not heard if they will stock them yet.
Elmo, 20-40mm adjustment range, is that small enough :?: :D  :o

I may have to shim it like an RDM if it's a cold day, on a good day should be about right

But you do get points for originality!
Just need a few more with imagination and you were there.
I have fixed the form so you can enter 3 digits now (i.e. H12)

OK, two entries (Sorry hk  )
Either way, this is less arduous for the masses, but the creativity may well win you the Flymount.
Subtle clue... time will tell :P
