2010 Neil Pryde Firefly 6.1  E-mail
Written by Gadget

I have been luck enough to lay my hands on the latest Firefly from Neil Pryde.

Here's my initial review after rigging the sail for the first time. More to come once I get it wet Smile

Lovley 8)

I traded an 08 6.1 Expression for this sail (My 08 Ledge to Lano finisher)
The luff is 10cm shorter, so rigs on a base of 18, not 28. A big improvement.
Due to the new leech design this season, the boom is also shorter by 1cm.
The new tech Dyneema(R) X-ply is in greater proportion all over the sail.

Head, foot and clew reinforcing are heavy duty.

It rigs with a lot of pre shape in the sail already. Quick to get you going, but if top end speed is what you want, then look elsewhere, it's a freestyle and wave sail. Typical of both the expression and Firefly. ( I tested one in Fiji)

Come on Huey, it's wind time :o
